We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded Underwriter to help drive the growth of our Health portfolio. This role combines underwriting expertise, business development, and relationship management, offering the opportunity to work closely with brokers, corporate clients, and intermediaries while contributing to the continued success of our Group and Individual Health products.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assess and underwrite new and renewal Individual and Group Health business in accordance with established guidelines and authority levels. 
• Prepare quotations and determine appropriate underwriting terms and conditions, referring cases where necessary. 
• Develop and pursue new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of the Health portfolio. 
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, intermediaries, corporate clients and prospective clients, liaising with them to progress underwriting enquiries and identify and develop new business opportunities
• Review portfolio and renewal performance and contribute to appropriate underwriting and business decisions. 
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, broker engagements and relevant industry events. 
• Monitor relevant market trends and developments and identify opportunities for portfolio growth and improvement.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years' experience within the insurance industry, ideally in Health underwriting.
• Experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management.
• Underwriters from other insurance classes with strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen are also encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication skills in both Maltese and English.
• Commercially driven, proactive, and confident in client-facing environments.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and relationship-building skills.
