The Role:

As an Information Security Analyst, you will play a key role in strengthening our organisation’s defences against cyber threats. You will monitor, analyse, and proactively address security risks to safeguard sensitive data, networks, and systems, while promoting cyber awareness and supporting incident response and business continuity initiatives across the company.

Responsibilities:

• Threat Detection and Analysis: Monitor, analyse, and respond to security alerts, incidents, and breaches in a timely manner. 
• Security Systems Management: Administer and maintain security tools, ensuring updates, configuration hygiene, and robust access management.
• Risk Assessment & Vulnerability Management: Perform assessments and vulnerability testing; recommend mitigation and track remediation to closure.
• Policies, Procedures, & Awareness: Assist in creating and enforcing security policies; educate employees and ensure compliance.
• Incident Response: Contribute to incident response plans; assist during investigations, containment, and recovery; support post-incident reviews.
• Cyber Awareness & Training: Organise and deliver training sessions, including phishing simulations, to keep stakeholders informed about current threats and promote secure behaviour.
• Audits, Testing, and Compliance: Prepare for and participate in security audits and penetration testing; ensure adherence to industry standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with IT and the Risk teams to communicate and resolve security issues, while actively contributing to business continuity planning (BCP) drills and related procedures.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the company’s information security framework and BCP artefacts. 

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Professional certifications (CompTIA Security+, ISACA Cybersecurity Fundamentals, ISC² CC, Microsoft SC-900, or equivalent) are advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of security technologies and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Meticulous attention to detail and dedication to data protection.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
